On Saturday the 1st of September, Beyond the Point attended the 400th anniversary of one of Canvey Island’s two Dutch cottages. It was great to see the history of this very special and incredibly old building being celebrated amongst the community. Dignitaries even visited the event from Holland. BTP Liam was there with our pillbox stall display on hidden local heritage and archeology. Gary Foulger showed us some of his fascinating artefacts found on Canvey Island originating in 17th-century Holland.
