Beyond the Point is an organisation based on Canvey Island, dedicated to BTP Joe and Liam exploring and researching historical remains in South-East Essex. Ranging from everything from Medieval castles to nuclear bunkers, we follow our goal to enlighten you on the usually skimmed-over parts of local history. In strong co-operation with local archives and museums, Beyond the Point compliments the work from archivists within the area. We produce documentaries on these sites, found via our YouTube Channel found in the video below, as well as the odd movie just for fun. We also have a Facebook Page containing over a thousand photographs from all our ventures. Read more…..

Hi I’m Liam from BTP. I think it would be good to film a short documentary more on what part historic remains in our towns (southend could be used) play in modern society.
Thanks, From Liam Heatherson
that sounds gr8 i have always wanted to do a documentary on southend
thanks liam kind regards jonah
I wasn’t thinking of talking too much on southend’s history, more just using it as an example how the old buildings have become a part of its community perhaps

Heya excellent blog! Does running a blog similar
to this take a great deal of work? I have virtually no expertise
in programming however I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future.
Anyways, should you have any suggestions or techniques for new blog
owners please share. I understand this is off subject nevertheless I just wanted to ask.
Thanks a lot!
Not at all, with wordpress the real work is just in writing the articles, which of course you can do as few or many as you like. Is really just a case of typing and uploading images, the real work for us at Beyond the Point is the various ventures we undertake as an organisation such as local events, talks, etc.
